The standard individual and couples session rate is $160/50-minutes or $200/75-minutes. Just like with psychotherapy, we do accept a limited number of sliding feel scale clients and you may inquire about them during your initial phone consultation. During this time, payment can be made in the form of debit, or credit card, and is due at the beginning of each session. Some insurance companies will allow you to use your HSA or FSA for yoga therapy, but only with a referral from your physician. Please check with your insurance company before the first session if you would like to use either one of these accounts. Clients will be charged the full fee for no-shows or cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice.

Do you accept insurance?

Not at this time, however, we are happy to provide monthly statements at the beginning of every month if you'd like to file for out-of-network reimbursement with your insurance provider. Please check with your insurance provider to determine if they will reimburse for out-of-network services.

What does scheduling and frequency of sessions look like for psychotherapy?

What do scheduling and frequency of yoga therapy sessions look like for yoga therapy?

What am I paying for?

We ask for weekly sessions at first in order to establish the therapeutic relationship and commitment to therapy. Once we have made significant progress towards the change you are wanting for yourself, your relationship, and/or your family, we can discuss bi-weekly or monthly appointments.

We do our very best to give every client a specific day and time for their appointment each week, especially for our weekly clients, for consistency purposes and comfort knowing that you have a spot that is all yours each week.

Yoga therapy is slightly different in regards to scheduling and frequency. We ask that your first session is 75-minutes in order to do a complete assessment and to set up a treatment plan for your work. After the initial appointment, your sessions can drop down to 50 minutes. Also, weekly is not required if you do your work on your “off weeks,” as you will be provided practices to do at home.

You are not only paying for your time with your therapist, you are paying for your therapist’s expertise and training that help them offer you the best care possible. All of our psychotherapists are required by our licensing boards to acquire a certain amount of continuing education each year. Yoga therapists are also required by their certification program to acquire continuing education to renew their certification.

All of our therapists believe in collaborative care, which means we will contact your “treatment team” regularly to ensure we are all on the same page in helping you become the best version of yourself. For example, if you are coming for individual therapy and you already have a couples therapist, your therapist will connect with them via phone or secure email to find out what individual work may be helpful to support your work in couples therapy and vice versa. If you see a dietician, an acupuncturist, or any professional that is on your treatment team, we will reach out to them regularly for a 10-minute check-in. We do not charge extra for this, however, some professionals do, so please check with them and let us know.

Also, at Callanolia, we try to keep our caseload low in order to offer you the best therapeutic experience. When our caseload is low, we have more time and energy to do research and plan for your appointments. We will consult with other therapists about your case to make sure we are on our “A-game” when it comes to your therapeutic experience. Therapy isn’t just a weekly appointment to us because we care about you and we think about you outside of your appointment time.
